Femke Bol has now secured a significant lead over her arch-rival, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Competing in the recently concluded Lausanne Diamond League, Bol ran one of her best races in the 400m hurdles discipline. Breaking her own meet record, the Dutch sprinter ran an impressive 52.25s to clinch the gold right after the Paris Olympics. Such a performance will surely bolster Bols confidence significantly as she is coming from a heartbreaking loss in Paris.

Back in Paris, the rivalry between Bol and McLaughlin-Levrone was supposed to be an exciting prospect. Unfortunately, things didnt turn out as expected for the Dutch sprinter.
