Growatt SAVED My Baby Chicks! 🐣 Emergency Power Outage DIY Fix [MPq4pAXXCY0]

The power went out on the homestead, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time. My baby chicks hadn't even been here for 24 hours. At this age, a few hours without heat is a death sentence. While I had hand warmers ready, I knew I needed to get their 250W red heat lamp back on immediately to keep them safe and calm. I grabbed an extension cord and connected the heat lamp directly to my Growatt 3000W Inverter, which is powered by a 48V Lithium-Ion battery pack that I built myself. Even though the solar panels are still at the other house, that battery bank was ready for the job. The Draw: A 250W heat lamp is a significant constant draw. The Duration: The Growatt system held strong for 5 hours until the grid came back online. The Setup: Legacy Growatt Inverter + Custom 48V Li-ion Battery. I’ve relied on this older Growatt unit for years. It’s a workhorse, but it’s an older, less efficient model. I’m looking to upgrade the homestead to a newer, more efficient Growatt system as we expand our 0.48-acre inner-city farm. If you’ve had a Growatt save your project, let me know in the comments! Help us keep the chicks warm and the homestead growing! 👕 Shop RobHere Merch: 🛒 DIY Gear I Use:
