Bryan Kohberger sentenced to life in prison for murders of 4 Idaho students [0CTjT6Y1MAl]

Bryan Kohberger was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole after admitting to killing four University of Idaho students in November 2022. District Court Judge Steven Hippler said, "Parents who took their children to college in trucks with moving boxes had to take them home again in hearses," before sentencing Kohberger to four consecutive life sentences. Judge Hippler then spoke directly to the families who filled the courtroom, saying, "I hope that you can shed the label of victim as it gives too much power to the evil that put you here, but rather go forward as survivors." Kohberger was convicted of one count of burglary and four counts of first-degree murder. Judge Hippler also sentenced Kohberger to pay a $50,000 fine for each count, in addition to a $5,000 civil penalty fee to be given to each of the victims' families. -------------------------------------------------- For more on the story: _______________ Stay up to date with our social media: KOMO News on Facebook: KOMO News on Twitter: KOMO News on Instagram: KOMO News on TikTok: Subscribe to KOMO on YouTube: Watch more top local news stories: For all of the day’s top local and national news, visit Watch our live newscasts and other live video at Download our iOS App: Download our Android App: Have a news tip?
