Subscribe NOW:Ingredients:2 tbs extra-virgin olive oil1 tbs tomato paste1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped2 large cloves fresh garlic, minced1/4 cup vodka (any cheap vodka works for this!)1/4 tps red pepper flakes2 tsp sugar 1 medium can (14 oz) tomato puree1/4 cup heavy cream, room temperature1 lb penne pastaYield: 6-8 servingsSteps:Making the sauce: 1. In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil and tomato paste for one minute over medium-high heat.2. Add the onion and garlic, and season with salt.3. Stir in vodka, red pepper flakes, and sugar.4. Cook the vodka down for about five minutes, then add the tomatoes. 5. Cook for an additional 5-8 minutes over high heat, stirring from time to time. Season to taste.6. Stir in the heavy cream.Cooking the pasta:1. In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil.2. Add a generous handful of salt, then bring rasmus dahlin the water back up to a boil.3. Add the pasta, and cook for 3-4 minutes.4. Stir the pasta with a slotted spoon to make sure It does not clump or stick to the bottom of the pot as it cooks.5. Using a slotted spoon, add the pasta directly to the vodka sauce. A little pasta water is a good thing.6. Shut off the heat and let the pasta rest for 2 minutes.Pro tip: If the sauce becomes too thin, gently warm and reduce over low heat for an additional 1-2 minutes.
