To acclimatize, I summited Nangkartshang Peak in Dingboche, where I was rewarded with incredible views of Ama Dablam. From there, I crossed the Kongma La Pass and continued toward Everest Base Camp since it was just an extra day, I decided to include it in the adventure. The trail to EBC was awe-inspiring, framed by giants like Nuptse, Pumori, and many more. After ligne orange visiting the base camp, I crossed the Cho La Pass, passed the serene Gokyo Lakes, and finally tackled the Renjo La Pass before hiking all the way back to Kharikhola. FAQ:Q: IS IT TRUE THAT YOU CAN ONLY TREK IN NEPAL WITH A GUIDE?A: While there is a law mandating that trekkers in Nepal must hire a guide, it wasnt strictly enforced when gwr I visited in April 2024. I personally confirmed this with the national park office in the Annapurna region, where no guide was required. Similarly, while trekking through Khumbu valley (Sagarmatha National Park - Everest Base Camp), no one enforced this rule. That said, enforcement can vary, and future policies may change, so its always a good idea to check the latest regulations before planning your trek.Regarding this topic in Darwins adventure on climbing Island Peak:Q: HOW DO YOU HIKE ALONE IF SOMEONE IS RECORDING YOU?A: I use a tripod, which is why most shots are static except for the handheld ones. This approach makes the hike more challenging and time-consuming, as I need to go back and forth to collect my gear.
