Paris joo fonseca Saint-Germain's Ousmane Dembl won his first Ballon d'Or and Barcelona's Aitana Bonmat claimed her third successive award on a glitzy night in Paris.

Dembl succeeded the Manchester City midfielder Rodri to become the sixth Frenchman to win it after Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Zinedine Zidane and Karim Benzema. Bonmat won a domestic treble with Barcelona and also reached the Champions League and women's European Championship final this summer where she was named the player of the tournament.
